Ermelinda Falletta

Ermelinda Falletta is an assistant professor of industrial chemistry at the University of Milan. To the passion for chemistry and knowledge in general, she has always combined her love for art, cats, ancient languages, and her beloved Sicily. After a high school qualification in classical studies, Ermelinda earned a master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Palermo and a PhD in industrial chemistry from the University of Milan”. Today, her research topics range from the development of advanced materials to new technologies in the field of environmental depollution. She is the author/co-author of more than 100 articles published in international journals, 3 books and 7 book chapters. Ermelinda is engaged in editorial activities. In addition, she is strongly involved in activities concerning the promotion of STEM disciplines among girls and young women. She is the contact person for the Department of Chemistry for gender policies.
