Who I am
I graduated in Chemistry at the University of Florence in 2013 and started collaborating with the Italian Center of Colloid and Nanoscience (C.S.G.I.) on industry-funded projects aiming at the post-synthetic functionalization of polymer films.
In 2016 I obtained a PhD in Chemical Science (University of Florence) with a thesis entitled: Biodegradable Polymer/Clay Nanotubes Composites. The main objective of my research was the physico-chemical characterization of inorganic 1D structures and their integration with biodegradable polymers for controlled release and biomedical applications.
In 2017 I joined the group of Prof. Samorì at the Institut de Science et d’Ingenierie Supramolecualires – ISIS in Strasbourg where I worked on organic and inorganic 2D nanomaterials for sensing and enhanced sorption applications. During that period, I was mainly focused on the mechanical exfoliation on 2D materials and their characterization by means of AFM and gas-sorption techniques.
In 2021 I joined Alfatest where I currently work as a product manager for the thermal analysis and polymer processing business unit.
